Firefighters in breathing apparatus. On their tunics are  right angled intrinsically safe torchs. There are also  A.D.S.U., an automatic distress signialling unit, which is part of their B.A. sets. This unit emits a very loud whistle should the firefighters remain motionless for a short period. Therefore, if they are trapped the unit will sound and will allow other firefighters to locate them. They have just rescued a young child from a first floor bedroom house fire. The fire had taken control of building and the firefighters were searching in temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees centigrade. They have placed the child on a blanket and are giving him oxygen because he has suffered smoke inhalation. ..© SHOUT.
